Pre-Season Info

Dear Huskie Wrestlers and Parents, I would like to take this time to introduce myself and send home some general information. My name is Randy Ferrell and I am the Head Wrestling Coach at Nathan Hale High School. Another great season is upon us. This season comes with much anticipation as we look to build upon the strong foundation that has been set for this program. We will have a sign up after school on Thursday November 3rd in the commons. Your wrestler will be given a packet of information. In this packet of information, you will find our practice schedule, dual and tournament schedule and our fund raiser form. Our fund raiser is a push up challenge. The money earned from this fund raiser will go towards your athletes pride kit. Pride kits include a sweat shirt, T-shirt and shorts. Our Tournament schedule has changed a bit from last year, and we also offer a great trip for our wrestlers and their families. On Sunday February 5th, we offer a great time travelling to Iowa City and Carver Hawkeye Arena to watch the University of Wisconsin...

Fall 2011.... 46 days and counting!

We are hard at work preparing for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. There are a lot of exciting things coming down the pipe real soon. We hope any boys that are not in fall sports take the opportunity to get involved with the strength and conditioning program! Working hard now will make things easier later on. The season is just around the corner and we hope to do big things! Also, good luck to all our boys currently participating in Football, Volleyball, Soccer and Cross Country! Adding to the Banner!

A right of passage! That is what many of our guys did recently. An experience that we can build upon! To look back and remember just how hard it was to get up with the sun and run before breakfast. To then be responsible for feeding my team and cleaning up. A two hour practice waiting to be had! 1.6, 3.2, 5.4 - TOGETHOR! Adding to the banner - Goal Set! Now work towards reaching it!

Ready - Set - Go!

As the season begins to progress, I look forward to our fist dual. We looked pretty good this past weekend at our scrimmage with Whitnall HS. It is always nice to see the things we need to work on. Our team has begun to take shape and the guys are starting to realize why we work so hard. Intensity and Heart will carry you through!
Now throw in some nice shots and a bit of wicked conditioning and you could be unstoppable!

Taking on the World

It was so nice to have such a large group of guys to participate in the Boiler Elite Team Camp. Our guys did a great job competing against some of the best teams from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and of course Wisconsin. We were able to create two teams with both teams placing very high in the final standings. We should feel good knowing that we are putting in the time to make this program one of the best. GO HUSKIES!!

New Beginnings

I would like to take this time to say what an honor it is to be named the new Head Wrestling Coach at Nathan Hale High School. This is a great community that is rich in wrestling heritage and support for its wrestling programs. I look forward to meeting all of our wrestling families and feel that there are great things in our future.
